Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Where do you ship from?

Most NuMri Design products are handmade in Nepal and shipped directly from Nepal once completed. Because many items are made to order, production takes time.
You will receive a tracking ID approximately 7 to 12 days after shipment.
If we have stock available in our Australian warehouse, your order will ship from Australia with faster delivery.

Why does shipping take longer?

Our products are not factory-produced. Each item is:
• Handmade
• Hand-hammered
• Made using traditional Nepalese techniques
• Often produced after your order is placed
Because of this slow and mindful process, delivery may take longer. However, this ensures authenticity, quality, and ethical production.

Are your products copper-plated or brass-plated?

Our products are made from pure brass and pure copper, not plated or coated metal.
Plated products are cheaper but wear off over time. Our pieces are crafted from high-purity raw materials, making them heavier, more durable, and longer lasting.

Why are your products more expensive?

NuMri Design products reflect:
• High-purity raw copper and brass
• Traditional hand-hammered techniques
• Raw heat metal shaping methods
• Skilled artisan labour
• Ethical, fair compensation
• Small-batch, made-to-order production
We focus on quality of material and craftsmanship rather than mass production.

Do you offer fair pay to artisans?

Yes. All artisans we work with are fairly paid, of legal working age, and supported with dignified working conditions.
We work directly with producers and avoid middlemen. This ensures better income for artisan families and preserves traditional skills in Nepal.

Where are your singing bowls made?

All our singing bowls are handmade in Nepal, mainly in the Kathmandu Valley and Himalayan region.

What are your singing bowls made from?

Our bowls are made from a traditional seven-metal alloy and are free from lead.
They are hand-hammered individually, which makes every bowl unique.

What note will my singing bowl produce?

Most of our standard hand-hammered bowls resonate naturally at B note, though some may resonate at F, G, or E depending on size and craftsmanship.
Full Moon Singing Bowls are pre-tuned before shipping.
We are known for the quality of sound resonance, not just appearance.

Is NuMri Design pedicure spa bowl good for professional pedicure use?

Yes. Our copper and brass pedicure spa bowls are ideal for:
• Home foot soak rituals
• Luxury spa treatments
• Professional pedicure services
• Wellness and Ayurvedic rituals
Pure copper naturally has antimicrobial properties, making it suitable for spa environments. The thick, hand-hammered construction ensures durability.

Why does copper or brass turn dark over time?

Copper and brass are living metals.
When exposed to oxygen and moisture, they naturally form a layer called patina. This is part of the metal’s aging process and is not damage.
Patina can be removed using a copper or brass cleaning agent if you prefer a polished finish.

How should I care for copper and brass products?

Wash with mild soap and warm water
• Dry immediately after washing
• Avoid harsh or acidic cleaners
• Use a copper polish if needed
Proper care maintains both shine and longevity.

How are your wall hangings and metal bird feeders made?

All wall hangings and metal decor are made using traditional hand-hammered techniques. Each design is shaped under raw heat and finished by skilled artisans.
No two pieces are identical.

Do you accept custom or bulk orders?

Yes. We welcome:
• Spa and wellness centre orders
• Meditation studio requests
• Gift shop bulk purchases
• Spiritual centre requirements
Please contact us at hello@numridesign.com.au to discuss custom or wholesale enquiries.
